“The Nopleonic Code”

So I’ve been wicked busy with my show that just closed yesterday. It was a really fun show and I really enjoyed. I made me realize to take in every moment I can on the stage, because it’s going to go by so fast. Theres nothing better than acting on the stage – I love every second of it.

But with all this acting going on, I have been neglecting my movie reviews. So I watched some movies, and here’s what I thought of them…

This Film Is Not Yet Rated (Documentary)

So I decided to watch this because my friend recommended it to me beacuse of my interested in censorship in movies. But this movie pretty much only focused on sex in movies, and I wasn’t very interested. So I watched three minutes of it and then turned it off beacuse it wasn’t what I thought it was. Granted it was about censorship, just not the type I’m interested in. So there you go.

Guys and Dolls (Classics)

4/5 Stars

Of course this is going to be biased because Marlno Brando is my favorite actor and he was in this. But it was really good, and I loved the opening and closing scenes. The movie is a movie-musical wicked also made me enjoy it more. The story follows 4 characters and deals with gabling, religion, love, and friendship. There was also a really cool dance break during one of the songs that I thought was awesome. Really good beacuse of the singing, dancing, acting, plot, and Brando being in it.

Rocket Science (Independent)

2.5/5 Stars

This film was about a kid with a studder who gets recruted by this girl to be on the schools debate team because she thinks he has potential. The story wasn’t very interesting or anything, and kind of lacked in a lot of places. The acting was Okay, nothing special. There were its funny parts, but overall it kind of blew. I was hoping for good things with this movie, but it failed to reach my goals.

Diggers (Comedy)

2/5 Stars

Even though I didn’t really give this film a chance, it was so boring for the first hour. It was about Paul Rudd living in Long Island as a clam digger, living in the shadow of his family. I really liked Paull Rudd in Knocked Up so I was hoping for another, but it wasnt. He was very serious in this role, and it bored me beacuse nothing happened in the movie that seemed to move the plot along, and it seemed like it would be one of those movies for the entire time, so I got bored.

The Adventures of Mile and Otis (Children & Family)

4/5 stars

Great movie, if you havent watched it in a while, watch it. the only thing is that its narrated by one person, and thats the only voice in the whole show. Its like he changes his vioce for one character, like a 1 man show. But its such a great movie. For those of you who don’t know, its about bb4l dog and car who get seperated one day, and then are reunited, but then get seperated again. And its a great film that has alot of animal cruety, that probablly wouldn’t be allowed today. But fun movie.

Wedding Daze (Comedy)

Well this movie was great beacuse it started with Inches and Failing by the Format, so that put me in a good mood for the rest of the show. I had low expectations of this beacuse I thought it was going to be one of the American Pie things, because Jason ____ is in it, and the picture was in the same font and logo as American Pie. But it wasn’t. Kind of clique as a whole, but very unique ideas. Ian Michael Black wrote and directed it and it was pretty hilarious. Not to give anything away but theres one part where the mom and dad are talking and its SO frickin hilarious. but i suggest this movie.
